Welcome to our fundraising project!
Food Social are a group of community members who are passionate about addressing food insecurity and hunger in our area. Just like everyone else, we have noticed a startling increase in the number of families and individuals who struggle to put food on the table. As a result, we have come together to take action and provide a sustainable solution.
Our goal is to acquire the funds to refit a food van or an old ice cream truck with the necessary kitchen equipment to deliver healthy meals to those in need. With this mobile kitchen, we will be able to produce nutritious food from the surplus supermarket produce we collect and distribute it free to underserved communities, where access to fresh and healthy meals is limited.
We believe that everyone deserves access to a healthy and balanced diet, regardless of their income or social status. Our vehicle will not only provide food to those in need, but also a sense of community and hope. We plan to partner with local organisations, charities, and volunteers to help us distribute food and spread the word about our mission.
But we can’t do this alone. We are asking for your support in reaching our goal. Any donation you can make will go towards acquiring the van, refitting it with cooking equipment, supplies, and ingredients, and covering the operational costs. Every penny counts, and with your help, we can make a real difference in the lives of our community.
